It hasn't been this low since the 14-day average between June 6th and June 19th of last year, when it was at 2,158. As stated by the WFAA article: "Texas Hitting Record-Low Numbers in Multiple COVID-19 Statistics to Start April", Texas health officials announced fewer than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, for the first time since early June of 2020. This is only one of the figures that have been deteriorating in recent months across the country.
